Hope this finds you in good spirits? Today I'll be solo-bolo for an 'In Between The Story'. We're going to talk a bit about the "feels" and the importance of not losing our humanness while navigating through this New Age of Intelligence. A topic that always seems to come up with me. So, hopefully moving forward we'll continue to build meaningful dialogues and explore ways to better live, and to be, embracing our individual experience. Something I've done for far too long is shut off, ignore and run from emotions.
So much is taking us away from the moment, ourselves, and the experience of it all. To live, and to be is truly becoming a lost Art. Infrastructures have been set in place, specifically to hi-jack reality, and to skin our sovereignty and sense of self bare. And the digital space has only exaggerated this truth.
Let's about talk reclaiming our own unique human experience. Share your own thoughts if anything hits home with you. I'd love to hear or read them. If you'd like to read the blog itself? 00:00:04 --> 00:00:08 but you see the the idea that there are no wrong
00:00:08 --> 00:00:12 feelings is an immensely threatening idea to
00:00:12 --> 00:00:18 people who are afraid to feel in any case and
00:00:18 --> 00:00:20 this is one of the peculiar problems of our culture
00:00:20 --> 00:00:25 that we are terrified of our feelings because
00:00:25 --> 00:00:30 they they take off on their own and we think
00:00:30 --> 00:00:34 that if we give them any scope and if we don't
00:00:34 --> 00:00:37 immediately beat them down they will lead us
00:00:37 --> 00:00:41 into all kinds of chaotic and destructive action
00:00:41 --> 00:00:47 because what is problematic for western man is
00:00:47 --> 00:00:53 not so much his struggles with other people and
00:00:53 --> 00:00:55 their needs and their problems as his struggle
00:00:55 --> 00:01:05 with his own feelings all love no hate episode
00:01:05 --> 00:01:10 number 58 ladies and gentlemen welcome back to
00:01:10 --> 00:01:15 the show this is Giants Amongst Us a place where
00:01:15 --> 00:01:18 we share in the unique human experience and this
00:01:18 --> 00:01:22 is where you're going to hear real stories that
00:01:22 --> 00:01:27 are told by real people people just like yourself
00:01:27 --> 00:01:30 no matter where you're at right now or how deep
00:01:30 --> 00:01:32 a hole there is, there's always a rope to grab.
00:01:33 --> 00:01:34 It's just a matter of how you're going to use
00:01:34 --> 00:01:38 it. And the feeling I got after I would write
00:01:38 --> 00:01:40 an incident that happened growing up, it was
00:01:40 --> 00:01:42 like the world was lifted off my shoulders and
00:01:42 --> 00:01:46 I became addicted to that feeling. The Jesuits
00:01:46 --> 00:01:48 will tell you, give me the boy from one to seven
00:01:48 --> 00:01:52 and I'll show you the man. Well, the one to seven
00:01:52 --> 00:01:55 for me was chaos, you know, that ended with the
00:01:55 --> 00:01:59 death of my very dear brother. It's good to be
00:01:59 --> 00:02:02 back for another sit down and a break bread with
00:02:02 --> 00:02:06 to whom it may concern. If this is your first
00:02:06 --> 00:02:09 time, kick your feet up. Please do stay a while.
00:02:09 --> 00:02:12 And if you've listened to the show once or twice,
00:02:12 --> 00:02:15 if you've been here before, appreciate you just
00:02:15 --> 00:02:18 the same. A little house cleaning before I get
00:02:18 --> 00:02:20 into it, before I even get into that. I hope
00:02:20 --> 00:02:23 you're having a good day. I hope things are going
00:02:23 --> 00:02:27 well in your end. Your health is. holding up
00:02:27 --> 00:02:30 not just holding up but you're feeling healthy
00:02:30 --> 00:02:34 your energy levels are at rare form top peak
00:02:34 --> 00:02:38 your stress levels are low your motivation and
00:02:38 --> 00:02:45 drive is at an all -time high no but I hope that
00:02:45 --> 00:02:47 everything is good with you and yours and what
00:02:47 --> 00:02:49 I wanted to say before I get into this talk today
00:02:49 --> 00:02:54 because it's gonna be solo bolo I do have a story
00:02:54 --> 00:02:57 which I'll be sharing at the end of this month
00:02:57 --> 00:03:00 with Patricia and she's going to be talking about
00:03:00 --> 00:03:04 her healing and recovery journey through the
00:03:04 --> 00:03:08 abuse that she suffered early on in her life
00:03:08 --> 00:03:11 at six years of age. She has quite the story.
00:03:11 --> 00:03:15 She's been through a lot and she is doing much
00:03:15 --> 00:03:19 better for herself these days. She has a service
00:03:19 --> 00:03:22 dog. She has her loving and wonderful husband
00:03:22 --> 00:03:25 by her side and I look forward to sharing that
00:03:25 --> 00:03:29 conversation in the upcoming week and as far
00:03:29 --> 00:03:31 as the few things I wanted to mention beforehand
00:03:31 --> 00:03:33 before I get into this little talk this little
00:03:33 --> 00:03:36 breaking bread this little sharing of the heart
00:03:36 --> 00:03:39 and some of my convictions what weighs on me
00:03:39 --> 00:03:42 at times and what I'd like to express out and
00:03:42 --> 00:03:44 maybe it finds a place with somebody on the other
00:03:44 --> 00:03:50 end before all that ways that you can Keep in
00:03:50 --> 00:03:54 contact with us, get in contact with us. The
00:03:54 --> 00:03:59 website is giantsamongstus .org. That's hometown.
00:04:00 --> 00:04:03 That's home base. And it's where you can reach
00:04:03 --> 00:04:05 out to us. You can leave a voice note. You can
00:04:05 --> 00:04:09 listen to past stories and past guests talk about
00:04:09 --> 00:04:13 the experiences that has made and shape them
00:04:13 --> 00:04:17 into the individual that they are today. the
00:04:17 --> 00:04:20 trials and the tribulations and how they were
00:04:20 --> 00:04:23 able to overcome and deal with the adversities
00:04:23 --> 00:04:26 that were significant to them you'll find articles
00:04:26 --> 00:04:30 you'll find blogs you'll find all that information
00:04:30 --> 00:04:35 at the website and of course you can keep in
00:04:35 --> 00:04:38 contact with us you can stay connected with us
00:04:38 --> 00:04:42 it's a two -way conversation I'm about growing
00:04:42 --> 00:04:45 and building together so with that out the way
00:04:45 --> 00:04:49 to get into what I wanted to talk talk about
00:04:49 --> 00:04:54 today on the open air waves because this is something
00:04:54 --> 00:04:57 that I use this this medium right here me speaking
00:04:57 --> 00:05:01 into a microphone and it falling on the ears
00:05:01 --> 00:05:05 of whoever it falls on maybe one or two people
00:05:05 --> 00:05:09 happen to hear this and it it speaks to them
00:05:09 --> 00:05:11 in their situation that they're dealing with
00:05:11 --> 00:05:14 right now today because I think it's safe to
00:05:14 --> 00:05:16 say that anybody who's listening to the show
00:05:16 --> 00:05:21 is on the same wavelength as development, growing,
00:05:22 --> 00:05:26 maturing, and trying to get to their true essence
00:05:26 --> 00:05:30 and to embrace their individual experience and
00:05:30 --> 00:05:33 to become people that are able to express their
00:05:33 --> 00:05:38 full potential to actualize our potential in
00:05:38 --> 00:05:42 a not just wither away or allow talents to waste
00:05:42 --> 00:05:46 or to box ourselves in or to be boxed in. or
00:05:46 --> 00:05:49 to be sold a story in a lie and to live that
00:05:49 --> 00:05:53 robbing ourselves of an individual experience
00:05:53 --> 00:05:58 so that was my long -winded way of saying that
00:05:58 --> 00:06:01 when I do these episodes these in -between the
00:06:01 --> 00:06:04 stories you know these talks really it's just
00:06:04 --> 00:06:07 about sharing some things that I'm dealing with
00:06:07 --> 00:06:10 that I'm working on and I'm trying to apply in
00:06:10 --> 00:06:12 my own life Guess you could say it's some type
00:06:12 --> 00:06:16 of digital diary of my soul's evolution. How
00:06:16 --> 00:06:23 about that? And one of those things is Feelings
00:06:23 --> 00:06:26 I think now it's a bit more accepted for men
00:06:26 --> 00:06:28 to talk about their feelings to talk about their
00:06:28 --> 00:06:31 mental state of mind to express themselves to
00:06:31 --> 00:06:35 embrace their emotions That's the duality of
00:06:35 --> 00:06:38 it all you have reason you have logic, but you
00:06:38 --> 00:06:41 also have emotion You have imagination. You have
00:06:41 --> 00:06:45 intuition. You have the yin and the yang. You
00:06:45 --> 00:06:49 have the feminine and the masculine. To be one
00:06:49 --> 00:06:53 -sided or to favor only one side is not being
00:06:53 --> 00:06:57 whole. So I say that because feelings getting
00:06:57 --> 00:07:03 back to the feels. To feel an emotion. To really
00:07:03 --> 00:07:07 let them turn you from the inside out. That's
00:07:07 --> 00:07:10 something that in my later years I'm learning
00:07:10 --> 00:07:13 to do not just to shut them off too quick and
00:07:13 --> 00:07:17 too fast because I've done that a million times
00:07:17 --> 00:07:22 over either afraid to express myself too ashamed
00:07:22 --> 00:07:26 to express myself or to hide and suppress my
00:07:26 --> 00:07:29 feelings to run away from what I'm feeling to
00:07:29 --> 00:07:33 shut it off distractions can help take away some
00:07:33 --> 00:07:35 of their steam and drugs might even help put
00:07:35 --> 00:07:39 them to sleep but how long does that last? they're
00:07:39 --> 00:07:42 still there even if they're sitting dormant and
00:07:42 --> 00:07:46 on occasion maybe more than on occasion but throughout
00:07:46 --> 00:07:49 the day there's little things that trigger them
00:07:49 --> 00:07:52 and you're trying to figure out and you're at
00:07:52 --> 00:07:53 a loss of where is this coming from it feels
00:07:53 --> 00:07:58 like I'm beside myself so much is taking us away
00:07:58 --> 00:08:02 from the moment this is like me also talking
00:08:02 --> 00:08:06 to myself and with these talks writing things
00:08:06 --> 00:08:09 out trying to give myself a space where I'm in
00:08:09 --> 00:08:12 meditation or reflecting or just experiencing
00:08:12 --> 00:08:17 the moment in what I'm feeling at a particular
00:08:17 --> 00:08:21 time. That's new to me, but that can be the help
00:08:21 --> 00:08:25 to start setting you in a direction that can
00:08:25 --> 00:08:28 lead you to some answers as to why you do certain
00:08:28 --> 00:08:31 things, why you feel a certain way and maybe
00:08:31 --> 00:08:34 what has been some of the building blocks to
00:08:34 --> 00:08:37 make up the personality and the characteristical
00:08:37 --> 00:08:41 traits that you, you carry, reflect and you manifest
00:08:41 --> 00:08:44 in your own life. Like I was saying, so much
00:08:44 --> 00:08:47 takes us away from the moment, from ourselves
00:08:47 --> 00:08:52 and the experience of it all, of living, of being,
00:08:52 --> 00:08:56 of truly being and expressing yourself in the
00:08:56 --> 00:09:01 life that you live. To live and to be is truly
00:09:01 --> 00:09:05 becoming a lost art. I mean, let's just take
00:09:05 --> 00:09:07 the infrastructures that have been set in place.
00:09:07 --> 00:09:09 We're living in modernity, and I always go to
00:09:09 --> 00:09:12 it because this is the signs of the time. I mean,
00:09:12 --> 00:09:15 this is the new world that we live in. And not
00:09:15 --> 00:09:18 to say that technology is the devil, but there
00:09:18 --> 00:09:22 are infrastructures set in place specifically
00:09:22 --> 00:09:26 to hijack reality and to skin our sovereignty
00:09:26 --> 00:09:32 and sense of self bare, naked. And the digital
00:09:32 --> 00:09:36 space has only exaggerated this truth. Eric Schmidt
00:09:36 --> 00:09:39 and Jared Cohen, in their book, The Digital Age,
00:09:40 --> 00:09:43 reshaping the future of people, nations, and
00:09:43 --> 00:09:47 business. To quote them, they say, only when
00:09:47 --> 00:09:51 we have their attention can we hope to win their
00:09:51 --> 00:09:54 hearts and their minds. And you look around.
00:09:55 --> 00:09:58 We don't even have to step outside anymore because
00:09:58 --> 00:10:01 we carry this thing with us at all times. It's
00:10:01 --> 00:10:05 now an extension of ourselves, but what do you
00:10:05 --> 00:10:11 have on a constant basis that is crying for your
00:10:11 --> 00:10:14 attention, that is robbing your attention, that
00:10:14 --> 00:10:17 is after your attention, that has your attention?
00:10:17 --> 00:10:20 Only you can answer it. And as much as Eric Schmidt,
00:10:20 --> 00:10:25 who was the former Google CEO and These other
00:10:25 --> 00:10:28 technocrats like to glorify a world where the
00:10:28 --> 00:10:32 AI machines break the barriers and become self
00:10:32 --> 00:10:36 -governed. These sentient beings you hear about
00:10:36 --> 00:10:39 where they're able to reason, to remember, and
00:10:39 --> 00:10:44 to act alone. In essence, to be more human -like.
00:10:45 --> 00:10:47 Maybe you've heard them talk about that. But
00:10:47 --> 00:10:50 I'm going to disagree. I'm saying that couldn't
00:10:50 --> 00:10:53 be further from the truth. but with a little
00:10:53 --> 00:10:57 bit of bending and sacrificial willingness, they
00:10:57 --> 00:11:01 can possess and host the human body. I'm sure
00:11:01 --> 00:11:04 you heard of them before these BC eyes, the brain
00:11:04 --> 00:11:11 computer interfaces. Yeah, transhumanism is this,
00:11:11 --> 00:11:14 you know, the ideal was this radical transformation
00:11:14 --> 00:11:19 where your human natural body gets transformed
00:11:19 --> 00:11:23 into an immortal. body. And there's a critique
00:11:23 --> 00:11:27 of let's say, the trans people in a sexual context
00:11:27 --> 00:11:31 or a transvestite is someone who changes their
00:11:31 --> 00:11:35 clothes and cross dresses and a transsexual is
00:11:35 --> 00:11:38 someone where you change your penis into a vagina.
00:11:38 --> 00:11:40 And we can then debate how well those surgeries
00:11:40 --> 00:11:43 work. But, uh, we want more transformation than
00:11:43 --> 00:11:46 that. It's the critique is not that it's weird
00:11:46 --> 00:11:48 and unnatural. It's man. It's so pathetically
00:11:48 --> 00:11:51 little. And we want more than cross dressing
00:11:51 --> 00:11:54 or changing your sex organs. We want you to be
00:11:54 --> 00:11:57 able to change your heart and change your mind
00:11:57 --> 00:12:01 and change your whole, your whole body and not
00:12:01 --> 00:12:05 to knock them. not to discredit them not to say
00:12:05 --> 00:12:08 that this is the technology of the devil because
00:12:08 --> 00:12:12 they will have their their use cases like for
00:12:12 --> 00:12:16 illness disease and and these other brain related
00:12:16 --> 00:12:20 disorders and that's usually how most new pieces
00:12:20 --> 00:12:23 of technology are there they're praised and in
00:12:23 --> 00:12:27 order for people to jump up and be willing to
00:12:27 --> 00:12:31 take them into adoption or to adopt these new
00:12:31 --> 00:12:36 pieces of technology of course the use cases
00:12:36 --> 00:12:39 are going to be praised they're going to be talked
00:12:39 --> 00:12:43 about bullet pointed but what i'm afraid will
00:12:43 --> 00:12:47 happen if not already is their marketing and
00:12:47 --> 00:12:51 commercialization to everyone and and not to
00:12:51 --> 00:12:56 go longer on this point but just to illustrate
00:12:56 --> 00:13:00 how this could be done how People would be so
00:13:00 --> 00:13:06 willing to accept this into their lives and totally
00:13:06 --> 00:13:11 allow it to control and to dictate every aspect
00:13:11 --> 00:13:15 of their lives. All you have to do is look around.
00:13:16 --> 00:13:22 Endless wars, civil unrest, one crisis after
00:13:22 --> 00:13:26 another, terrorists, if not local, then they're
00:13:26 --> 00:13:30 abroad. and sometimes without a face but a virus,
00:13:30 --> 00:13:33 it can make us feel as if reality is overrated,
00:13:34 --> 00:13:39 it's boring, it's scary, and we're just too powerless
00:13:39 --> 00:13:43 to change it. And that is the perfect breeding
00:13:43 --> 00:13:47 ground for a multi -billion dollar industry to
00:13:47 --> 00:13:51 make its move on society in the minds of billions
00:13:51 --> 00:13:56 of people through entertainment, gaming, virtual
00:13:56 --> 00:13:59 reality and other forms of neural weapons of
00:13:59 --> 00:14:04 manipulation. Again, I think that the biggest
00:14:04 --> 00:14:07 question maybe in economics and politics of the
00:14:07 --> 00:14:11 coming decades will be what to do with all these
00:14:11 --> 00:14:14 useless people. I don't think we have an economic
00:14:14 --> 00:14:18 model for that. My best guess, which is just
00:14:18 --> 00:14:22 a guess, is that food will not be a problem.
00:14:23 --> 00:14:26 With that kind of technology, you will be able
00:14:26 --> 00:14:29 to produce food to feed everybody. The problem
00:14:29 --> 00:14:33 is more boredom and what to do with them and
00:14:33 --> 00:14:36 how will they find some sense of meaning in life
00:14:36 --> 00:14:39 when they are basically meaningless, worthless.
00:14:39 --> 00:14:43 My best guess at present is a combination of
00:14:43 --> 00:14:51 drugs and computer games. back reading and some
00:14:51 --> 00:14:53 research as I was going through these thoughts
00:14:53 --> 00:14:56 and one of the websites that came across is vision
00:14:56 --> 00:15:01 of humanity .org breakthroughs in neuroscience
00:15:01 --> 00:15:05 shaping the new frontier of weaponry and in that
00:15:05 --> 00:15:08 article one of the last paragraphs reads quote
00:15:09 --> 00:15:12 new and possible future neuro weapons include
00:15:12 --> 00:15:16 the enhancement of neuro and cognitive capabilities
00:15:16 --> 00:15:19 of intelligence personnel and troops through
00:15:19 --> 00:15:24 brain machine interfaces BMI and machine brain
00:15:24 --> 00:15:28 interfaces MBI there will be improved forecasting
00:15:28 --> 00:15:33 of crowd or enemy behavior now what qualify someone
00:15:33 --> 00:15:37 as being an enemy I'll leave that up to you Through
00:15:37 --> 00:15:42 BMI and applications of brain imaging technologies
00:15:42 --> 00:15:46 to representative or key individuals, applications
00:15:46 --> 00:15:49 of neuroscience will be able to better recognize
00:15:49 --> 00:15:54 and potentially manipulate people, group identities,
00:15:54 --> 00:16:00 and norms across cultures." End quote. From ancient
00:16:00 --> 00:16:05 Rome to modern times, it spread in circuses all
00:16:05 --> 00:16:08 over again. All this is meant to distract us
00:16:08 --> 00:16:12 from ourselves. It takes us away from our connection
00:16:12 --> 00:16:16 to spirit, the universal mind, love, the all
00:16:16 --> 00:16:20 -encompassing energy and force field that we
00:16:20 --> 00:16:22 are a part of, however you want to put that.
00:16:23 --> 00:16:25 It takes us away from our connection to nature,
00:16:26 --> 00:16:31 emotion, intuition, imagination, reason, love.
00:16:31 --> 00:16:34 and these are the true ingredients that help
00:16:34 --> 00:16:38 with framing and building a reality beyond the
00:16:38 --> 00:16:43 illusion they're trying to impose on us the illusion
00:16:43 --> 00:16:46 that they have imposed on us and this happens
00:16:46 --> 00:16:51 by simply being stopping and asking ourselves
00:16:51 --> 00:16:55 just a question what is your individual experience
00:16:55 --> 00:17:01 have you stopped running hiding or trying anxiously
00:17:01 --> 00:17:05 to lose yourself in a story that isn't yours.
00:17:05 --> 00:17:09 Some say the eyes never lie and others have said
00:17:09 --> 00:17:14 the body keeps the score to get back to the feels
00:17:14 --> 00:17:18 and the experience of it all with awareness,
00:17:18 --> 00:17:24 attention, stillness, and simply being. The veil
00:17:24 --> 00:17:30 slowly starts to fall and masks crack like a
00:17:30 --> 00:17:35 candle lit Your inner world comes to life. It's
00:17:35 --> 00:17:41 medicine, poisons, treasures, phantoms. This
00:17:41 --> 00:17:44 is part of what being human is. It's what separates
00:17:44 --> 00:17:49 us from the machine. Someone who's embraced the
00:17:49 --> 00:17:54 totality of their own individual experience is
00:17:54 --> 00:17:57 someone who is very hard to control, deceive
00:17:57 --> 00:18:01 and manipulate. And that is why they're spending
00:18:01 --> 00:18:07 billions to actively distract, disempower, and
00:18:07 --> 00:18:12 destroy the individual self in each one of us.
00:18:12 --> 00:18:15 This is a war that will not be televised, and
00:18:15 --> 00:18:19 it's already happening in 4D effect. I want to
00:18:19 --> 00:18:23 end this with a quote from Eric Fromm. I've been
00:18:23 --> 00:18:27 reading his book, Escape. From freedom and it's
00:18:27 --> 00:18:30 a real real good read. I highly recommend it,
00:18:30 --> 00:18:34 but I want to End this talk with the quote from
00:18:34 --> 00:18:40 him It reads let your mind start a journey through
00:18:40 --> 00:18:45 a strange new world Leave all thoughts of the
00:18:45 --> 00:18:49 world you knew before Let your soul take you
00:18:49 --> 00:18:53 where you long to be Close your eyes Let your
00:18:53 --> 00:18:58 spirit start to soar and you'll live as you've
00:18:58 --> 00:19:02 never lived before I Look forward to sharing
00:19:02 --> 00:19:06 this up -and -coming conversation with you all
00:19:06 --> 00:19:10 I want to wish you all a great rest of the week.
00:19:10 --> 00:19:14 Let me know how you feel about This talk there
00:19:14 --> 00:19:17 was anything in particular that Struck a chord
00:19:17 --> 00:19:22 with you You know where to find us You be safe
00:19:22 --> 00:19:27 out there. You be sane. Be the change you wish
00:19:27 --> 00:19:31 to see. And before I leave off, let me just remind
00:19:31 --> 00:19:33 you that if you would like to be a part of the
00:19:33 --> 00:19:38 show and share your story, or even a story of
00:19:38 --> 00:19:40 someone in your life that has impacted you in
00:19:40 --> 00:19:44 a positive way, you could always reach out to
00:19:44 --> 00:19:48 us via email. I'd be happy to connect. Until
00:19:48 --> 00:19:55 next time. and very soon. Peace.
