    00:00:00
Now, it's a little story I got to tell them.

    00:00:06
Now who doesn't like a good story?

    00:00:08
Who isn't moved and inspired by authentic human experiences from everyday people?

    00:00:18
    People we can't relate to.

    00:00:20
You see storytelling, it's always been a primal form of communication.

    00:00:26
Like in Tibet, there was Han and footprints of children discovered dating some 200

    00:00:33
    years ago.

    00:00:34
    Imagine that.

    00:00:36
You have ancient Greece with all of its legends and myths engraved in the walls.

    00:00:44
There was even a structure resembling a pyramid found underneath Lake Fuxian in China with

    00:00:50
designs and symbols carved into its stones.

    00:00:55
And now with technology and all of its advancements from the printing press, bidding out newspapers,

    00:01:03
photography and radio, the television set and now social media.

    00:01:09
Now some of the mediums may have changed, but storytelling is still at the core of how we

    00:01:16
communicate and how we connect and learn.

    00:01:20
    Stories.

    00:01:21
    I'm talking about your stories.

    00:01:26
Those of ordinary people that have done and are doing extra ordinary things.

    00:01:34
This is the heart of the podcast.

    00:01:37
Let me tell you something you already know.

    00:01:40
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows.

    00:01:45
Now if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth, but you gotta

    00:01:48
be willing to take the hits and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you want to

    00:01:53
be because of him or her or anybody.

    00:01:56
Powers do that and that ain't you.

    00:01:58
    You're better than that.

    00:02:01
These people have beat the odds when everything was stacked up against them.

    00:02:07
Faced setbacks, handled hardships, kept their path and pushed on.

    00:02:16
    These are the underdogs.

    00:02:17
I don't know about you, but I love rooting for the underdogs.

    00:02:23
These are your next door neighbors.

    00:02:27
That fatherless child, a single mother, the humble shopkeeper, your sister, your brother.

    00:02:36
They come from all walks of life, but you're not gonna find them on the TV screen and they

    00:02:42
won't be on your favorite magazine cover either.

    00:02:45
    You know why?

    00:02:47
Because they don't need any of that extra Hollywood flicker.

    00:02:53
This is about real people in the flesh and in their own way walking like giants amongst

    00:03:01
    us.

    00:03:02
And these are the kind of stories that I like to share.

    00:03:07
I think they're worth lending an ear to.

    00:03:09
I also think we could learn and draw strength from their success and victories in times

    00:03:15
when we might not be thinking too highly of ourselves.

    00:03:19
Their stories can help us step out of our shoes to gain a new perspective and maybe

    00:03:24
    see things differently.

    00:03:27
They could even be a new source of inspiration and self-discovery that we could tap into.

    00:03:36
Little birdie ones flew through the clouds and sang, each one, teach one.

    00:03:43
So with all that being said and off my chest, I'd like to welcome everyone to the show.

    00:03:49
Brew yourself up a nice cup of coffee, cup a squat, pull up a chair, kick your feet up,

    00:03:56
or you could even take this with you on the go.

    00:04:00
For starters, it'll be one episode every two weeks and each episode is going to focus

    00:04:07
in on one of these giants amongst us.

    00:04:11
Now if you'd like to be a part of the show and share your story, or even a story of someone

    00:04:16
in your life that has impacted you in a positive way, you could always reach out to me via

    00:04:21
    email.

    00:04:22
I'd be happy to connect and maybe even share your story.

    00:04:26
    That's what it's about.

    00:04:28
    The floor is yours.

    00:04:31
And before I wrap this up, share your thoughts.

    00:04:35
Give us a rating, leave a review on whichever platform it is you're listening to.

    00:04:41
If this resonates with you, until next time, and very soon.

    00:04:48
    Peace.
