We're back, and I sure hope things are lovely on your end. It's a new day, and new week, so let us take in that fresh breath of life and reflect in thanksgiving on all the things we do have. There's a lot to appreciate. From the smallest to tallest.
Another installment of 'In between the Stories'. Something weighing on my heart, and with a cozy set up (studio space), thanks to my wonderful wife. I decided to have a sit down and shoot the breeze. Feel free to check out the blog and inspiration behind this talk https://giantsamongstus.org/blog/the-golden-in-silence let me know how you feel about it. You're all welcome to join the conversation.
Some topics touched on :
The New Digital Age and outsourcing our humanity to technology
Importance of Solitude
Examples from historical figures about the power of silence and solitude
Healthy ways to use technology
Exploring your inner world
We have more stories on the way. Be safe, be sane, and may we all get to experience what Ralph Emerson spoke of regarding solitude - it is there, where we can "hear the whisper of the gods."
'Til next time
and very soon,
PEACE!!

[00:00:03] Here we interrupt this program to bring you a special report.
[00:00:07] Now!
[00:00:19] Looking back.
[00:00:21] I hope everything is on the gravy with you all.
[00:00:24] It's good to be back.
[00:00:25] It's good to have another sit down and shoot the breeze.
[00:00:28] I'm in a new setup, a new fresh setup.
[00:00:32] Nice and cozy, a cushioned seat.
[00:00:34] And I wanted to share a little bit of what's been on my heart.
[00:00:38] And if anybody is interested, you can go to the website, go to the blog section and you'll
[00:00:45] find the inspiration behind this talk.
[00:00:48] And if this is your first time stumbling across the show, this is Giants Amongst Us where we
[00:00:56] share in the unique human experience and where you're going to hear real stories
[00:01:01] told by real people.
[00:01:03] People just like yourself.
[00:01:05] You're not going to get clued in on the Hollywood Squares or the latest gossip.
[00:01:11] We don't care about what Taylor Swift tweeted last night or who Brad Pitt is marrying next
[00:01:16] weekend.
[00:01:17] None of these influencers are supposed stars of any concern to us.
[00:01:22] This isn't about that.
[00:01:24] This is about the everyday people, people just like yourself.
[00:01:28] If you want to call them ordinary, go ahead and do so.
[00:01:31] But they're doing extraordinary things.
[00:01:34] And what I mean by extraordinary is the fact that these individuals just go to the website,
[00:01:40] listen to past stories these people have in one way shape or form, took in responsibility
[00:01:46] and accountability for their life's experiences.
[00:01:50] They come from struggle, from pain, from challenges, handicapped addictions, but they decided
[00:01:58] at one point to start changing.
[00:02:01] Their belief structure, their lifestyle, their habits, their way of viewing the world and
[00:02:06] limit the limitations and doubts that they were putting on themselves to push past the
[00:02:12] hurt, the failure, the abuse and the work towards finding healing, getting a hold of
[00:02:19] hope, being resilient and finding a way to make the best of their situation and
[00:02:25] just become better people in general.
[00:02:28] When you change your inner reality, that's the perfect fertile ground for things to start
[00:02:34] changing outside and around you.
[00:02:37] Your relationships with people, how you interact with the world, how you're able to navigate
[00:02:43] through the world and not be overwhelmed and just beaten down by outside pressures
[00:02:51] and stresses and anxieties and fears and worries, but when you're deep down inside solid
[00:02:59] you have your roots grounded and deep in the earth.
[00:03:02] You can stand tall like an oak tree and withstand the storms, the rain, the wind, whatever's
[00:03:11] thrown your way.
[00:03:12] How deep is that root of yours?
[00:03:15] So sometimes, you know, when life tears us apart, we hit a crisis.
[00:03:20] We have a breakdown.
[00:03:22] We hit rock bottom.
[00:03:23] That's the perfect opportunity to like some of these politicians say, build back better.
[00:03:31] When the tower is destroyed, when everything is rubbled, that's when you can build a new.
[00:03:36] You can start picking up the pieces and putting it together in a more constructive
[00:03:40] fashion and build a nice proper foundation.
[00:03:44] You know, I just wanted to share some thoughts and this is something that I planned
[00:03:48] to do was to just share ideas, things that weigh on my heart, convictions that I may have
[00:03:55] and pepper them in between the stories.
[00:03:58] I've already had a few interesting conversations and I look to publish them in the next upcoming
[00:04:05] weeks.
[00:04:06] I look forward to sharing them with you guys.
[00:04:09] You can, like I said, if this is your first time listening, you can go back and check
[00:04:14] check through the archives and listen to past stories.
[00:04:17] But I'm excited to have a few more interviews lined up.
[00:04:22] And I think you guys will find some value in it.
[00:04:24] I know I enjoyed having those conversations and each one is a learning experience for me.
[00:04:30] And each one, I'm encouraged more and more to dig down and do my own inner work.
[00:04:37] And it's not about trying to become holy or righteous or anything like that, but it's just
[00:04:44] about getting in touch with who I truly am outside of the pressures outside of persuasion
[00:04:54] and manipulation.
[00:04:57] Because let's face it, this digital age, we have advertisements.
[00:05:02] We have so many things that can nudge us this way and pull us that way.
[00:05:10] And if we're not solid and sure about who we are as an individual, if we don't know ourselves,
[00:05:17] there's a group that's going to tell you who you are.
[00:05:20] There's another group that's going to tell you how you should live.
[00:05:23] There's another group that's going to tell you how you should think.
[00:05:26] And you're just like a leaf blowing in the wind.
[00:05:30] Unsure in every little thing that is happening, a loss of a job, loss of money, any little
[00:05:39] monkey wrench that twists up your world.
[00:05:42] The smallest or the biggest is going to shake you, break you and just devastate you.
[00:05:47] But if we're sure in ourselves and we're understanding who we are, what we're capable
[00:05:53] of, we're confident and we have the resources to deal with life when life happens.
[00:06:00] And we're not just always on the defensive and reacting to this and reacting to that,
[00:06:06] but we're actually living.
[00:06:08] We're able to see things for what they are.
[00:06:10] We're able to learn from our mistakes.
[00:06:13] We're able to think things through critically and not to just be affected by a headline
[00:06:18] or something that's trending.
[00:06:19] And let's just say, give it away our power and our individual freedom to live a life
[00:06:26] that is more self-sufficient, to live a life that is balanced, loving and more fulfilled life.
[00:06:35] So this whole idea, the podcast, the show and the connection shared,
[00:06:40] it's getting back to that human element because if we're not careful, we can lose it,
[00:06:46] especially with all of the advancements in technology and everything is becoming more
[00:06:51] and more digitalized and we're being encouraged to pursue a virtual reality.
[00:06:59] And some people are fine with that because they're not happy with the real world.
[00:07:04] They're trying to escape it.
[00:07:05] They're not happy with themselves.
[00:07:07] Something isn't right in them.
[00:07:08] And you can make up a fantasy island and plug yourself right into some kind
[00:07:14] of virtual reality and live out your fantasies and escape what's really going on in the real world.
[00:07:22] So if we're not careful with all the wonderful advances in technology,
[00:07:26] the way that right now I'm able to just press record, speak through this microphone
[00:07:32] and upload it and after uploading it and putting it into the cloud,
[00:07:37] throwing it out into the ether and anybody with internet access,
[00:07:41] no matter where they are, east, west, north, south overseas on a big hill, low hill.
[00:07:49] They're under a rock in a cave.
[00:07:51] If they have internet access, they can listen to this.
[00:07:54] We can connect.
[00:07:55] They can get in touch with me and I with them.
[00:07:58] That is magic in itself.
[00:08:02] The advances in technology, the leaps and bounds that have been
[00:08:06] taken with medicine.
[00:08:07] But if we're not careful, this can also draw us away from the human nature, our human nature.
[00:08:18] And that's a slippery slope because then we start to lose touch of who we are as people,
[00:08:26] as human beings with souls, with spirits, with emotions, with intuition, with creative
[00:08:33] abilities, with creative imaginations, all of that logic, reason, critical thinking.
[00:08:41] These are ingredients that make us human beings, the ability to love, to care,
[00:08:48] to think empathetically, to reflect.
[00:08:51] If we're not careful, we can outsource all of those abilities to a device
[00:08:56] that we think can do it better than we can do it for ourselves.
[00:09:00] It's funny because you hear people and I say it sometimes myself like, man, everything
[00:09:07] is being manufactured and outsourced to China or outside of the country.
[00:09:14] Let's just say if you're living in the US or if you're living in Germany,
[00:09:17] nothing's made in Germany anymore.
[00:09:19] Everything is made.
[00:09:20] You look at the label.
[00:09:21] It's coming from this country or that country.
[00:09:23] And people complain like, yeah, the jobs are being outsourced and the manufacturing
[00:09:28] companies are being outsourced and the businesses are being outsourced.
[00:09:33] That's on an economic scale or level or an economic landscape.
[00:09:38] But think about it.
[00:09:40] We're outsourcing our human capabilities in our humanity to a device.
[00:09:48] When we don't know the answer to something, bam, go ahead, just Google it.
[00:09:52] Something's wrong with your stomach.
[00:09:54] Bam, just go ahead and Google it.
[00:09:56] I don't know what to do with my kiddies up and down.
[00:09:58] He's bouncing off of walls.
[00:10:00] Bam, just go ahead and Google it.
[00:10:01] They have an app and it'll tell you when you need to start moving again
[00:10:05] because you've been sitting down for too long.
[00:10:07] We're outsourcing all of these things that make us human to a device
[00:10:15] to the smartphone or smart device that's supposed to be that they say
[00:10:21] is smarter than you.
[00:10:23] It's more capable than you.
[00:10:25] If you believe that there's a stickers that I'm sure you guys are familiar with.
[00:10:31] It says dumb people with smartphones and that's the whole point of it.
[00:10:35] You know where the algorithm is going to supposedly be able to do all these things
[00:10:41] that we used to be able to do primitive man days of old in ancient times.
[00:10:47] We're really in touch and in tune with nature, with themselves,
[00:10:52] with the stars, with the seasons, with all of that.
[00:10:57] But this new advancement in technology, they're saying these thinking heads and
[00:11:06] these developers and these technocrats are saying that the AI gods, this algorithm,
[00:11:14] I mean we do in a way bend down backwards for it to please it to do anything to boost our
[00:11:19] ratings to put us in front of all the other videos to give us more likes to get us more engagement.
[00:11:27] Whatever it is that's supposedly helping your content get pushed up by the algorithms you're
[00:11:34] willing to do even if it's something that doesn't really sit right with you would,
[00:11:39] you don't agree with it but just for the sake of the algorithms are going to push it and put
[00:11:44] it at the top I'll go ahead and speak about this or make content about that.
[00:11:51] I mean who wants to be talking to an empty auditorium?
[00:11:56] But yeah like I was saying these wizards of Oz behind the curtains are saying that the algorithm
[00:12:04] that we're going to get to a point if we're not already now are going to know you more than
[00:12:10] you know yourself. The central idea of this new worldview which you can call dataism because it
[00:12:17] invests authority in data the central tenet is that given enough data especially biometric data
[00:12:26] about a person and given enough computing power Google or Facebook can create an algorithm
[00:12:34] that knows you better than you know yourself. But I still think we have a choice we can allow that
[00:12:45] to happen we can fall in line and outsource all of our capabilities all of our humanity to this
[00:12:53] wonderful shiny object that can do all things that knows all things that knows my behaviors
[00:13:00] knows what I like what I don't like knows even what I think and what I feel about things and
[00:13:07] and it knows what makes me angry and what triggers me and what causes me to react and engage more
[00:13:13] with whatever platform I'm on or we can get back in touch with the real. This is just something
[00:13:20] that I've been thinking about and and I wanted to speak a little bit about it and um let me
[00:13:25] know how you feel about it let me know what you think about these things. If you agree if
[00:13:30] you disagree with your take on it like I said the website link is in the show notes you can shoot a
[00:13:38] line there you can leave a message a voice message or leave a comment. Any feedback is always welcome
[00:13:46] even if you just want to say hello or let me know where you're listening from how you're
[00:13:51] listening to the show that's cool too. This topic this was something uh one of the last
[00:13:57] one of the last uh conversations that I had I'll be sharing that episode in the next
[00:14:03] up and coming weeks but we were talking about that also and just the uh the use of technology
[00:14:08] and how yes it's a great tool it's a wonderful tool but it also can be abused misused and
[00:14:19] really really really take us away from who we are as individuals as human beings as living human
[00:14:28] conscience sentient beings and I think it might even be fair to say that a lot of people listening
[00:14:34] to this show you know they're they're still interested in that human element exploring
[00:14:40] their thoughts or their unconscious because I've spoken with people and they talk about how
[00:14:46] valuable it was for them for journaling writing out their thoughts meditating and reflecting on
[00:14:53] how they feel and why they do certain things why they're feeling a certain way what's troubling them
[00:15:00] and this is something that I'm still exploring and working on and it'll be a lifelong journey
[00:15:05] but I think it's important I think it's important I mean it's evident look around
[00:15:10] and even look at yourselves it's evident that so many people are struggling mentally is it because
[00:15:17] we're living now in the age of anxiety but if you think back to even past times they had their own
[00:15:24] stresses and they had their own worries and they had their own pressures from external chaos
[00:15:31] the chaotic environment the witch hunts the religious wars uh one country invading another
[00:15:39] you had slavery you had you had horrible working conditions you had you had unequal opportunity for
[00:15:47] men and women you had all of these things in in different times and in different places
[00:15:52] and in different ages where where people had their anxieties they had their worries even
[00:15:59] owed philosophers and psychotherapists hundreds of years ago in the 1800s the early 1900s still
[00:16:06] write about this sickness this illness in society these neurosis is the struggling inner conflict that
[00:16:13] we deal with as human beings in the different ways that we try to compensate for the different ways
[00:16:19] that we try to cope with it but there's a time where it reaches the surface and it makes itself
[00:16:24] known and we might experience that in sickness you might experience that in our bodies deteriorating
[00:16:32] our health deteriorating being crippled by anxiety fears and all these different schizophrenic episodes
[00:16:41] the manic depressive episodes and all these different symptoms somatic symptoms or mental
[00:16:49] disorders that stem from that inner conflict or that inner struggle and turmoil that's going on
[00:16:55] that we haven't looked at that we haven't tried to work out sometimes we don't know how
[00:17:02] what's encouraging it to see now is that a lot of people are talking about it not just the women
[00:17:09] it's not just a feminine topic where oh you you're not meant to be talking about your feelings
[00:17:15] or your emotions when you're a man but but you hear that even for men men that have been in
[00:17:21] combat men that have been in prison men that have worked hard jobs when raised families just men in
[00:17:28] general also talking about their mental health their emotions things that they go through so this
[00:17:36] is across the board and I kind of went on a huge rant but so this is just a call back to those
[00:17:45] who feel like they're they're getting pulled away they're getting pulled away from who they are as
[00:17:52] people as a kid you're innocent you're like an empty slate in the way but then slowly through
[00:18:01] education through society through friends through family through strangers through work through
[00:18:07] organizations through clubs whatever it is little by little you're being impressed and sometimes told
[00:18:17] what you're capable of what you can do what you shouldn't do what you should strive for
[00:18:24] what line of work you should fall in but where does that leave us in the midst of all of that
[00:18:30] who are we have we given ourselves that opportunity that time to explore to figure it out
[00:18:39] it's tough it's tough and then we find ourselves trying to be something that we see maybe on tv is
[00:18:47] oh that's success that's what I want to do there are times where something resonates with you
[00:18:55] you see someone and they're a role model they're a mentor you see someone and you look up to
[00:19:00] them and you say that's what I want to be that's what I want to do but the point is to
[00:19:06] get real with yourself get honest with yourself and entertain those those questions and those
[00:19:12] thoughts and reflect on what it is that you truly like what it is that you believe in what it is
[00:19:21] that you find honest and truthful and good despite what they're saying despite what this
[00:19:29] click is saying or what they're telling you to believe despite all of the outside pressure
[00:19:36] and I was saying that to say that a good way to start off is to afford yourself that silent
[00:19:43] space that sacred silent space in an age of distraction how crucial and critical is that
[00:19:50] how much does that mean to you does it even matter this is a new world it's not a conspiracy this
[00:19:57] isn't something that might be this is the new world this is the fourth industrial revolution
[00:20:04] the future is already here the future has begun why this false industrial revolution
[00:20:15] is so crucial it's coming like a tsunami opportunities which we have in the coming years
[00:20:27] it will be overwhelming to see how fast the change will happen in an exponential speed
[00:20:41] this is the digital age and in this new world like I said for all the great that technology has
[00:20:51] brought upon all of us we're able to enjoy it in a lot of different ways the instant access to so
[00:20:58] much information but it could be the case of information overload we have so much information
[00:21:04] we can't even our minds in our conscience selves aren't even meant to process this much
[00:21:10] this much information but in this new world this brave new world if you want to call it
[00:21:16] this digital age our silence that sacred space of silence is being swallowed by technology
[00:21:27] it's being eaten alive and in the belly of the highest bidder that's a fact this is the attention
[00:21:34] economy our data our personal information feeding the algorithms every second every minute every hour
[00:21:44] that's the new goals um let me ask you a question about uh xai and what you're doing
[00:21:52] and um because there's an interesting thing that's different I think about what you have
[00:21:57] relative to somebody others which you have data you have information you have all of the stuff
[00:22:03] that everybody in here has put on the platform to sort through um and I don't know if everybody
[00:22:10] realized that initially what is the value of that yeah I mean data is very important um
[00:22:20] you could say that data is probably more valuable than gold
[00:22:25] silence I'm worlds away from where I came from and I could say one thing the beauty about it is
[00:22:34] you know I've been out of the country I'm originally from California I've lived in
[00:22:40] Germany for the past six years and I mean I pretty much just been to myself it's my wife
[00:22:46] she has family when they come over and visit I have colleagues at work that I associate with
[00:22:52] but not much outside of that it's really just family time I'm here so I've had a lot of time
[00:23:01] to spend away from my old environment old friends family whom I miss but honestly there
[00:23:11] was a lot of people in my life excluding family I'm talking about just people that I spent time with
[00:23:20] that were not in the best of place and not the best of influences on me so in one way
[00:23:26] separating from that environment and having the time and the space to be alone I think has been
[00:23:32] a real positive thing and also of course to have a loving patience and understanding
[00:23:40] wife and partner by your side that helps all the more you give me nine miserable people that
[00:23:48] you're hanging around and you're probably going to be the 10th so I've had time you know away from
[00:23:54] my natural habitat but that doesn't say you know like I said away from that but still with
[00:24:02] technology confine yourself just doomsday scrolling or spending time online and and checking to see
[00:24:10] what this person is doing and what that person is doing or how they're living and even though
[00:24:16] you may be separated from let's just say your old environment old friends or whatever it is but
[00:24:23] you still have the opportunity because of that ball and chain that smartphone that that android that
[00:24:32] iphone whatever it is you still have it in your pocket you still have it on your hand you still
[00:24:38] have it at the hip it's on your person at all times and you can just stay on the screen and
[00:24:44] just days and days and days till you're confused and in a haze and that is a good way to have
[00:24:53] some time and solitude by ourselves snatched away from us that's a good way to give it up
[00:25:00] and I say that because I've been there and I'm trying to just be more conscious on the things
[00:25:05] that I'm consuming what I'm feeling my mind with not just my physical diet but also my mental
[00:25:10] diet is a junk food is it good for me I mean of course I'm not just saying that everything has to
[00:25:16] be on the higher learning tip and it's got to be about enlightenment but what are you spending the
[00:25:22] majority of your time consuming and most of your energy towards what are you giving that to
[00:25:28] what are you allowing to influence or fill your life your conscience what is it remember
[00:25:36] that old saying you are what you eat so the silence the solitude away from the world's pool
[00:25:44] or the demands and the stresses of the day or your instagram feed that's the very solitude Ralph
[00:25:52] Emerson spoke of when he said it's there where you'll be able to hear the whispers of the gods
[00:26:00] how many of you ever heard the whispers of the gods some kind of aha moment in a epiphany a revelation
[00:26:09] a tugging at your heart or even just some kind of soft conviction to pursue something
[00:26:15] an answer to a problem any of that how important is your silence how important
[00:26:22] is silence and solitude to you even the world health organization the who as slimy and as
[00:26:31] sneaky as they've proven to be they argue that excessive noise is a serious threat to human
[00:26:38] health and we're not just talking about car traffic or airplanes flying overhead but we're
[00:26:45] talking about excessive noise excessive stimuli all of this chatter and this buzzing this information
[00:26:53] overload that I talked about being bombarded by advertisements by products by brands by things
[00:27:00] that you should buy by trends that are trending by fears or the latest headline or the the
[00:27:08] next news break remember at one time when I was younger the news came on once a day or
[00:27:13] twice now is in the evening in the afternoon now all day every day as long as you're staring at that
[00:27:20] screen you're getting breaking news what to be afraid of who's warring against who how high gas
[00:27:28] prices are the protests what virus is out to get you man the boogeyman that is out to get you
[00:27:35] I'm not saying whether these things are real or not real that's up to you to decide but
[00:27:40] talk about excessive noise on a daily basis all day every day from when you wake up to right before
[00:27:48] you shut your eyelids and go to sleep what is that doing to us as humans we're not capable
[00:27:57] we're not built to consume and process so much information but yet this very structure
[00:28:06] modern society this new age that we're living in the fourth industrial revolution this idea of
[00:28:15] being connected at all times and we don't even just want you carrying the device anymore you
[00:28:21] can wear it or you can put it under your skin that's even better how convenient is that this
[00:28:28] structure this infrastructure has created a vacuum that is sucking the silence right out of us
[00:28:36] our attention it's being robbed and held hostage how many of you are looking to get it back I know
[00:28:42] I am we don't even like to be alone anymore it's boring isn't it I mean who wants to be alone
[00:28:49] it can make you feel some type of way lonely afraid vulnerable and even crazy some people might say
[00:28:59] don't you have any friends but if we go back a little bit to the great figures of the past
[00:29:05] let's just rewind the clock a bit some of these great figures that were so quick to talk about a
[00:29:13] reference or look up to and say man this was a righteous person they knew it all they had the
[00:29:20] answers they had the key some of them even looked to these people for guidance and to try to replicate
[00:29:27] their footsteps and their lifestyle and their philosophy they reached that legendary status
[00:29:33] after long stretches and solitude like Jesus for one whether you take him to be an actual man or
[00:29:40] or a story that's symbolic of something else that's up to you but Jesus was led by the Holy
[00:29:48] Spirit through the wilderness tempted by the devil 40 days and 40 nights and it was in that silence
[00:29:56] in solitude away from everything away from the from the religious people from the heathen
[00:30:02] from all of that from the temples it was in that silence and solitude where he found his strength
[00:30:09] and became his message which was salvation in the flesh or what about the story of sit heart
[00:30:17] his quest for enlightenment after putting his body through all types of torment sleeping on
[00:30:24] thorns starving himself and fasting it was only years later where he found that quiet spot
[00:30:31] in silence sitting underneath the bodhi tree the tree of enlightenment and meditating there
[00:30:39] reflecting there being present and in the moment there it was then where he found his clarity
[00:30:47] and seen life for what it truly was and is for some cultures a journey in solitude that was
[00:30:56] an important part of the right to passage through which an adolescent boy then became a grown
[00:31:03] mature man he had to hunt he had to forage protect himself from the beast of the jungle and he had
[00:31:11] to face his fears alone into the unknown and into the darkness he went and those who were
[00:31:18] successful those who made it out alive were the ones that were accepted back into the community
[00:31:24] as worthy men there's a healing power found in solitude and there's also a creative power
[00:31:31] that comes from silence in darkness that quietness that stillness darkness that's the sound of silence
[00:31:40] in most stories and myths about creation it's from our darkness that light comes
[00:31:47] and life begins the spring forth life begins to happen things start to form they breathe
[00:31:54] grow move and start being it's that creative force in the beginning the book of genesis says
[00:32:03] going back to the bible god created the heaven and the earth and the earth was formless and empty
[00:32:09] darkness was over the surface of the deep and the spirit of god was hovering over the waters
[00:32:16] before creation even happens things were formless empty and in darkness and the hindu creation
[00:32:23] story we can go back to that it begins with the universe in chaos and in darkness and from that
[00:32:31] darkness comes the god of brahma rolling up his sleeves and he starts to create separating
[00:32:39] the elements of the earth wind fire water spirit and there you have it interesting the fact that
[00:32:47] there seems to be a collective understanding from our ancestors cultures of the past and even people
[00:32:54] now about the importance of solitude being alone with self from out of the darkness comes the
[00:33:04] light considering some of these things isn't it very curious that modern society and all of its
[00:33:12] tentacles is fixed on capturing our minds our time our energy and that is the whole idea and
[00:33:22] the concept of philosophy behind the business of this attention economy keeping you captivated
[00:33:30] at all times we want you interacting and engaging and stuck on this in you spending more and more
[00:33:38] time on this platform engaging with this app than you are with yourself with the real world
[00:33:45] and with the people in your life that means something or just engaging in the world that's
[00:33:53] happening outside and off the screen isn't it curious that society nowadays is fixated on keeping
[00:34:02] us locked in this virtual reality i don't mean to come off preachy or anything like that or as if
[00:34:09] i'm on a soapbox i'm trying to be conscious about it i'm trying to be mindful about it and i'm
[00:34:15] not trying to be consumed to lose myself in the process it's not to say that this is evil
[00:34:21] or you should spend more time doing this rather than that who am i i'm just a man on a mission with
[00:34:29] the one-way ticket you know because at the end it's always going to be up to me or you on how we
[00:34:39] want to play or move in this dance and show we call life you know i just decided to sit down
[00:34:47] shoot the breeze and share a few thoughts between the stories and talk a little bit about how we
[00:34:52] might have some great things waiting for us realizations transformations something potent
[00:35:01] long lasting i'm talking about worth more than a big car with big wheels or a big house on a big hill
[00:35:09] or a thousand likes under your next instagram post or your youtube video something more potent
[00:35:17] special and on top of all of that but that's if we allow ourselves the time and the space and
[00:35:26] solitude away from the outside buzz so that we can one day too hear the whispers of the gods
[00:35:36] you guys we're gonna catch up real soon you stay safe out there you stay sane
[00:35:43] till next time and very soon peace
